Selective Demolition
Work began in January of 2018 and was completed in December 2018. These dates include phased work
Demolition and removal of 3 story concrete casts, concrete stairwell on exterior, concrete spandrels, retaining walls, and footings 20 ft below grade at the St. Joe’s Hospital Parking Garage
This specific project involved the removal of large sections of precast concrete, as well as the removal of footings that required a mini excavator to be lowered into a 20ft below grade opening. The coordination of events during demolition had to be planned and done in a manner not interrupt any of the ongoing hospital operations, maintain the scheduling requirements of the general contractor, and ensure a safe jobsite for workers as well as the public.
